At the moment there is no fsck for NTFS on the Linux side, otherwise it would be possible to fix these errors automatically within Linux itself, without having to rely on Windows tools.

The best advice is to simply avoid hard rebooting, whatever OS you may be using. It helps a lot if you can provide relevant logs when asking for support and will also speed up the process significantly.

Note that you can install in "Verbose Mode" so that the logs will give much more detailed information. It is an entire operating system, after all, so it's bound to take longer than your average Windows application.

Once that was done, we set off to explore Ubuntu. And when we were ready, we simply rebooted to switch back to Windows. Overall, Wubi isn't a particularly impressive program, but when it comes to installers, you really want something that draws as little attention to itself as possible.
